I have applied for a business writing job in Dubai and I have a telephone interview tomorrow! Now that I am officially “off men”, with no intention of meeting another one in any romantic capacity in the near future, I have the freedom to make decisions about my career. Now that I’ve said it, I’m horrified at how I have allowed myself to dawdle along worrying about them. If it takes going abroad to get a writing break, then that’s what will be done, although I am a bit dubious about leaving behind this season’s wonderful fashions, in favour of covering up.
